As a women-owned, small family business, Octō’s primary focus is on creating products that are natural, sustainable, and in line with your values and intentional way of living. They have been pouring candles by hand in South East London since 2017. All their products are made of the finest ingredients, including clean-burning plant wax, and keenly combined essential oils.

Neom’s much-loved scented candles are hand-poured in the UK and expertly blended with 100% natural fragrance and 100% naturally derived wax. They’re also packed with essential oils to help give your wellbeing a boost by harnessing the natural powers of aromatherapy.

As with all things produced by Haeckels, the Margate-based brand’s candles are a perfect example of innovative packaging and sustainable solutions. 100% natural, made with a high-quality woven cotton wick and eco-friendly soy wax in a thick glass surround, ingredients for each candle are harvested from their farm or the beaches of Margate.

The first non-toxic candle I ever owned (back in 2014!) was made by Brooklyn Candle Studio. Their candles are made in Brooklyn, New York with 100% soy wax for an eco-friendly clean burn. They use lead-free cotton wicks, premium fragrance oils infused with essential oils and every candle is vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and petroleum-free. Their dreamy scents are inspired by the beauty of nature and the wonder of travel.

Born out of Hackney in 2015, Earl of East is a boutique home fragrance brand set up by business and life partners Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin. All Earl of East candles are made with organic soy wax, a natural blend of fragrance and essential oils, and hand poured in small batches in East London.

Their fragrances are made using only the purest essential oils and have been developed to have specific positive, aromatherapeutic effects on emotional wellbeing. All their ingredients are sourced and harvested following the strictest ethical and sustainable methods with a focus on the wellbeing of both flora and fauna.

P.F Candle Co is LA-based, and owned and operated by wife and husband team Kristen Pumphrey & Thomas Neuberger. Their candles are made using 100% domestically grown soy wax while all their formulations are vegan, cruelty-free and phthalate-free. They are proof that quality fragrance doesn’t have to cost the earth (literally). My favourite scent is Amber & Moss.

LA-based SALT & STONE focus on natural, organic and cruelty-free ingredients in everything they create. Their candles are comprised of coconut and soy-based wax and burn up to 55 hours. Their mission is to create safe formulas for everyone, taking no shortcuts.

Flamingo Estate candles are made with 100% vegetable soy wax that is non-GMO and grown in the USA and scented using natural essential oils. Each scent is designed to transport you- their Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle catapults you to late summer dinner parties in Sicilian gardens, the Adriatic Muscatel Sage Candle has notes of salty sea air that carries you to the Adriatic Sea and the Climbing Tuscan Rosemary Candle transports you to golden hour strolls amongst cypress trees and ruins.
